What more fun than spending a weekend stitching? Spending a weekend stitching in a barn-turned B&B with ten quilters from the A2MQG who share your online haunts. The weekend was incredibly productive for me—I quilted two tops, did some handwork, and basted a couple mini quilts— but beyond the productivity it was great to spend time in a place where the topics of conversation were about sewing machines, and the scrappy trip a-long, and what new modern quilting fabrics are coming into Brenda’s store. You can’t get that just anywhere.

One rustic skein. My first n-ply.

I got home thinking, “I sewed all the things. Now what?” Now everything! (Overwhelmed.) And then I sat down at the spinning wheel to try Navajo plying.

On a different note, I wanted to say thank you to everyone for the kind words and the support on my Mama Cat Pattern. It makes me to happy to see the kitties making their way into the hands of your little loved ones. Thank you.

Happy 2013.

Sweet Quilt! I may have to try that pattern today with two rows of long strips! (And after, reward myself with trying that Mama Cat pattern I ordered yesterday.)
